We want to earn the right to help you do this job, not assume we already have it. That's what these are for — and a tool has to do all three, not two of three.

  • It earns a place in your week. Not a page you visit once. If a tool here isn't worth opening most weeks, it's the wrong tool — and we'd rather find that out in a month than build around it for a year.
  • It does the work, instead of assigning more. 240 has always made things to read: study guides, practice tests, refreshers. Labs isn't that. Everything here should finish a task you already have instead of adding one.
  • It pays off while you can still see it. You should be able to tell whether a tool helped inside a week or two, not at the end of a semester. If the benefit only shows up in June, neither of us can act on it.
