Project 180 for educator prep programs

Pre-fessional Development.

Support your teachers to be lifelong learners with professional development that starts before their first day.

The idea

Professional development usually starts after the first day. We think that’s too late.

Your program prepares candidates to teach. The first classroom tests that preparation every day. Pre-fessional Development means your completers walk into that classroom with veteran support already in place, rather than finding it months later.

The usual way

PD starts after the first bell, once the hard weeks have begun

Veteran support is already in place on day one

How P180 delivers it

The support your program started doesn’t stop at graduation.

  1. Live PD

Sessions for your candidates and completers, led by veteran educators and Teachers of the Year. On-site, virtual, or both.

  2. Mentoring

1:1 time with a P180 veteran and small-group coaching, so your completers have someone to ask.

  3. The P180 app

Short articles and videos from our speakers, there the night before a hard lesson.

What it means for your program

Completers who are ready, confident, and still teaching.

Ready completers.

Graduates step into their first classroom better prepared for management and routines.

Confident completers.

They know where to turn when the first hard week arrives.

Completers who stay.

First-year support helps keep your graduates in the profession.

Learn from the best

Hear what your completers would hear.

FAQ

Questions prep programs ask

Do our completers need to be hired by a partner district to use P180?

[Answer to confirm]

We already support our candidates. Does P180 replace that?

No. P180 is built to add to what you already run, and it carries that support into your completers’ first classrooms.

How do programs pay for P180?

Many partners use federal and state professional development funds. Our team will help you find the right funding source.

Is P180 in person or virtual?

Both, and you choose. Live PD can happen on-site, virtually, or as a mix.
