About Megan
Megan Johnson has taught in upper elementary classrooms for 18 years and teaches fourth grade at Central Elementary School in Plainfield, Indiana. Known across her district as a strong instructional leader, she is respected for her dedication to student growth and her joyful, relationship-centered approach to learning.
She holds an early literacy endorsement and, since 2022, has led her building’s work to put evidence-based reading and writing practices in place, helping students and colleagues align instruction with the science of reading. In her classroom, she connects inquiry to real-world issues and builds the curiosity, confidence, and collaboration skills students need in school and in life.
